David Hilton is new Bentley exterior styling head

This former Ford designer has been snatched by VW-owned British uber-luxury car maker, Bentley to replace Raul Pires which has been moved to Italdesign, the iconic Italian design house which was established by Giorgetto Giugiaro and is now part of the VAG empire.

Hilton will answer to Bentley styling chief Dirk Van Braeckel.

Hilton's career started at Ford in the United States before moving over to Europe and then to Ford Associate company, Mazda. He also had a stint with Volkswagen's South American operations, VW Autolatina in Brazil.

HE then set up Motor City Europe (MCE), a styling house based in Cologne and ran it for 12 years before joining Bentley.
