Subaru celebrates 40-years of symmetrical all-wheel drive

This is what the first Subaru with symmetrical all-wheel drive looked like

and this is what it looked like under the skirt

Since then they have won numerous world rally championships and moved the brand into motoring folklore.

Congratulations Subaru.

New Subaru Coupe is BRZ-eey

Finally we have some sort of confirmation about the details of the new Subaru coupe that will share it's DNA with the Toyota FT86.

Just in case you guys are wondering what BRZ stands for, its Boxer, Rear-wheel drive and Zenith.

I guess Subaru says this is the pinnacle of rear wheel drive boxer development, that is a pretty bold claim.

I hope they haven't set us up for expectations that are too high.
