Bikes a-leaping, Caldwell Park's infamous 'mountain'

Laguna Seca has the Corkscrew, Nurburgring has the Carousel, Monza has the Parabolica and Caldwell Park has the Mountain.

You may be wondering what I am talking about. The Mountain is a crest in the middle of a right hand corner that comes as a pair of left and right and it makes bikes take flight.

It is considered one of the biggest challenge in motorcycle racing and here is a video of racers talking about how they conquer this terrifying track feature. Get it wrong and a high-side is almost guaranteed.

In this video you can see just how high and how long the jump is when top riders open their throttle wide over The Mountain.
