Hyundai Santa Fe now comes at lower price

Hyundai Sime Darby Motors, the distributor of Hyundai cars in Malaysia is now offering the Santa Fe at a more affordable price of RM150,888 in 'Standard' trim.

The 2.4 litre Standard variant comes as an Inokom Santa Fe but they are the same vehicles with the badge peeled off and stuck with a new one.

The more affordable variant gets the same 2.4-litre Theta II engine that can produce 124Ps and 228Nm of torque.

The main differences from the premium variant are in the interior trims as well as some other features, including the Audio Visual Navigator/GPS (AVN) unit, sunroof, smart key/push start button, reverse camera and driver power seat, which are not included in the standard specification variant. This variant comes with black leather seats.

AFFORDABLE SANTA FE VARIANT NOW AVAILABLE

SHAH ALAM, 27 October 2011 – Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has now a complete line-up of all its Inokom Santa Fe (a licensed product from Hyundai Motor Company) variants following the introduction of the new affordable variant with standard specifications.

The new standard specification, 2.4 petrol variant is competitively priced at RM150,888 (on-the-road with road tax and insurance), making it extremely attractive for a 7-seater mid-size Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

The new Santa Fe variant still maintains its power machine (2.4l Theta II engine), which produces 174PS (128kW) of maximum power and an impressive 23.2kgm (228Nm) of maximum torque. Value for money, it also comes with a 6-speed maintenance-free automatic transmission and an electronically actuated 4-wheel drive system that changes from two to four wheel drive in an instant or 4-wheel lock at the touch of a button.

The main differences from the premium variant are in the interior trims as well as some other features, including the Audio Visual Navigator/GPS (AVN) unit, sunroof, smart key/push start button, reverse camera and driver power seat, which are not included in the standard specification variant. This variant comes with black leather seats.

“With the availability of the standard specification variant, Malaysians now have a wider choice while still enjoying the fundamental Santa Fe product attributes,” said Mr Dennis Ho, Managing Director of HSDM.

The Santa Fe received 5-star NCAP (NHTSA) safety ratings for both the front and side impact tests. Extensive use of high tensile steel, reinforcements and other forms of protection ensures a very safe and strong passenger compartment to reduce injuries to the occupants.

The Santa Fe was voted the most reliable car in the Consumer Reports 2010 Annual Auto Reliability Survey in the US recently. It received the highest votes because of the SUV’s excellent performance and it is an immensely comfortable SUV with a super large and strong passenger compartment. The Santa Fe’s quiet interior is complemented by the comfortable seats and well-finished interior fittings that impress even the most discerning of owners.

Overall, every Santa Fe variant offers the optimum package to suit the exacting needs of SUV lovers without punching a hole in the wallet.

Malaysian motorists can place their bookings at the nearest sales outlet or call its Customer Careline at 1-300-13-2000 for more information. HSDM offers a 5-year or 300,000km (whichever comes first) extended warranty on all its new passenger vehicles. A 24-hour road assist service is also now available to new and existing Hyundai vehicles.
